Banksy is quick. And sometimes not neat…but never as sloppy as this. Check the website and the stencil of the family with the kite on the website versus the kite in the oceanside hoax. The kite the “father” is holding is part of a black stencil on the site…the oceanside kite is painted over as well as the kite string with orange. Lame. fake.

I am not trying to stir up anything but in my gut I feel it’s real. However, I drove out to see it and was disgusted by the fact that the owner of bull taco decided to capitalize on this fresh piece by making t-shirts with a photograph of this stencil and sell them for $20. TWENTY-DOLLARS?!?! Are you kidding me?
Now I am wondering if the owner did this himself just to raise a few eyebrows and get some business.
I really wish it was real but now, thanks to capitalizing assholes, I don’t know if I even care, they’ve ruined it.

It is Banksy. He has both the rat with star glasses and the flag as separate pieces on his website from previous work. It takes a little bit of time to update his web page, but, it will be there.

i went to go see the piece this morning… it’s right next to a gas station. i’m very surprised no one noticed him (or whoever did this -if it is a fake) while pumping gas.
