Concepts x Clarks Weaver Boot

Concepts and Clarks partner in the release of an upcoming version of the Weaver Boot. For the first time in over a decade, the Weaver in its boot form will be available in the United States. The shoe features premium unlined waxed Italian suede with that iconic Weaver construction. Subtle Concepts branding is applied to the tongue and outer heel. Two colors are offered in Grey and Torba Brown with a leather footbed. With the Concepts x Clarks Weaver Boot releaseing on Friday, September 3rd, a video featuring Clarks shoemaker Angelo Scuderi can also be seen below.

    This should help us forget the patent leather wallabees for a little bit. Definitely OVER-BRANDED but still pretty clean.

    Rip-off of VANS! Or any one else for that matter… You have to be kidding, right!?!
    These are ORIGINALS, 1968… [OKAY] Vans can stick to Halfcabs and CVO’s. Clarks shoes have the most footwear heritage out there, bar none. They practicall invented the shoe. I’m talking the brand was created in 1825.
    Nike, Vans, and whatever other street wear brand out there have pumped so much advertising into their product, it’s gross. Plus CLARKS has over a century and a half of brand recognition and history on any of them. Like comparing Meghan Fox to Marilyn Monroe, just can’t do it…
    So when a “true classic” like CLARKS introduces a collab feel privileged, they don’t do too many, compared to some of the other watery “historical brands” out there..
    As for the looks of the shoe… Well, that’s in the eye of the beholder.
    Got to admit these are pretty clean and tight tho!

When the link to their site didnt work I went to the store only to find out that they were “Promo Pics” of Weavers that will be dropping at David Z in the future (date TBD). It seems to me like someone leaked the pics a little prematurely. Either way I am glad I the link didnt work and the store didnt have them because these Concepts ones are fresh to death. Is anyone really seeing these dudes? Collab after collab they kill it. I am glad they are doing phone orders, but yo when are they going to stop fucking around and open a shop out here in NYC? Concepts is a big fish in a small pond in Boston. If they expand other shops should be scared… Could be an empire.
