Vans Alva Legends Mid Skool 77 & Era Pro

The godfather of pool skating, Tony Alva re-defined Progression. Alva was the first true rock star in skateboarding and his impact on our culture was deep. This Spring, Vans honors the timeless skateboarder with a new Alva Legend’s Pack that includes an up-dated version of his original signature shoe, the Mid Skool 77 Pro, along with an Era Pro. The shoes were constructed with eco-friendly materials including water-based adhesives, recycled gum rubber and laces and linings made from recycled PET, the material used in plastic bottles. Featuring functional base colors paired with subtle pop color detailing and all the technology you expect from Vans, these limited edition models deliver superior style, comfort, grip and protection. A release is set for February 1st via select Vans retailers.

    Alva needs his own signature line. Has there been one?

    It would be great if Vans expanded beyond these sophisticated models and would develop some ‘progressive’ designs that would reflect the pioneer and icon that he is to skating.
