Interview with Ed David

Defgrip offers us a great look into the work of Ed David, responsible for a couple of engaging videos shot last year. Making an original video of their own, Ed David speaks of his life in New York and work on both pieces. The video was filmed and edited by Andrew McMullen, who also conducted the interview.

A while ago we came across a few short video pieces that instantly engaged us. The first was titled “Martin the Tailor”, a story about a Jewish tailor, and the second, “The Archive”, which focuses on the single largest personal record collection in the World. Both pieces were extremely fascinating, beautifully shot, and we had to find out who was behind such great work.

Ed David the Director of Photography was responsible for shooting both pieces and was nice enough to sit down with us in his apartment in Brooklyn, NY and divulge into his life behind the lens.
