In what seems like a growing list of hybrid-styles combining sneaker bottoms and boat shoe uppers, the Vans Zapato Del Barco ranks highly on our list in these two leather/suede offerings. Based on Vans’ well-documented vulcanized sole construction, the shoe’s upper gives a nice change of scenery from the likes of Eras and Chukkas and something arguably more refined.     I would say visvim is trying to be like vans. Check out visvim’s spring collection, those high tops look like sk8-his. These are also vans one take on the boat shoe, better than their last and these are fucking bomb

    Vans copy Visvim? Seriously. Visvim originally copped Vans Old Skool and Era styles long ago. Also agree with Ren on the whole boat shoe history.

    I do like Visvims design better, but I also like paying a few hundred dollars less. I would pay the

    cash for FBT’s, but that’s just me. I think they’re pretty nice sheos though

    i just copped a pair of these in brown suede yesterday. nice look. you can easily dress them up or down with little effort. not disappointed at all. can’t speak on the quality cause i haven’t got much wear out of them obivously but, with the $20 i paid for them and the fact that all my other vans are holding up better than/as good as any other shoe i have i can’t complain. scuffs are remarkably difficult to clean off the vulcanized sole though

    You have to check these in the Flash cos’ I’ve seen these in Pics and thought, that looks dope. Gone to check em out and been massively disappointed. They are really tattered in style and the seem quite bulky too.
