D.C.’s own Bad Brains came up in the 80’s hardcore punk scene and has since released eight albums, including the most recent 2007’s Build a Nation. Having done a few prior collaborations with Vans, the latest one is a take on the Chukka model. Colored in beige with designs on the sole and insert of the shoe, a lightening bolt ending with a burst. Including an extra set of shoelaces with the band’s name repeated in different colors to change with your mood. Available now at VA so don’t miss out on these pairs.

    Pick up the album “black dots” for the original, hardcore bad brains. “pay to cum” and “banned in d.c” are two of my favorite songs ever, maybe just b/c of the nostalgia and how young i was when i discovered them. check out “god of love” to hear their reggae style that these shoes are clearly based around, but i can’t say i really recommend it.

    I feel ya DEA. It’s stupid seeing people rockin’ band shirts (or shoes now) that don’t even listen o the band or group. I don’t know how many people I’ve seen and ran into complimenting their shirt, and half of them don’t even know it’s a band. It’s a shame.

    great, another non-skate shoe from Vans. They lost their way and when this whole street/skate trend is over they will have no one to go back to.

    these are really nice and simple. I dont know if i would get them though, I havent listened to any of their music so i would feel uneasy about wearing them, ya kno?
