Season after season, Axel Arigato has shown the unending possibilities of streetwear by elevating classic silhouettes with its signature luxury touch. For Fall/Winter 2023, the Swedish label doubles down on this approach, presenting its most refined collection yet.

In the new offering, Axel Arigato pieces together an array of high-quality staple pieces with a muted color palette and minimal features. From an understated puffer jacket to its pared-back take on the basketball sneaker, the contemporary classics are carefully reworked to a sleek and timeless aesthetic, making them well-suited to any style or trend.

As we move closer to the festive period, the brand highlights how its latest collection is the perfect way to get gifting right with something for everyone in the mix. Through a new edit, Hypebeast takes a closer look at the FW23 pieces, spotlighting the top six pieces to add to your wish-list or give to loved ones this season.

Observer Puffer Jacket

From streetwear icon to contemporary staple, the puffer jacket has grown to be a must-have in every winter wardrobe. Axel Arigato’s take on this piece is unfussy and versatile featuring a high collar, velcro-fastened cuffs and two pockets. The Observer Puffer Jacket drops in brown, black, gray and beige, each coming with a matching bag to be packed away in.

Dice Lo Sneaker

Over the years, Axel Arigato has built up an eclectic sneaker library with bold and chunky silhouettes as well as more sleek and streamlined editions. The Dice Lo subscribes to the latter, modeling a thin midsole and narrow toe box. Across the upper, the brand plays with leather panels to accentuate this shape. What’s more, the colored overlays can be brushed down to create a more distressed, vintage feel.

Hudson Varsity Jacket

The Varsity Jacket is one outerwear garment that has been continuously chopped and changed to align with different aesthetics. Past iterations have seen it become overly preppy with badges and lettering or embroidered with art to give a vintage look. The brand’s Hudson version brings a new style to the Varsity Jacket, adopting a clean-cut, minimalist design. It comes crafted from a heavyweight wool with PU leather sleeves and two logo motifs on either side.

Area Lo Sneaker

Bringing the sporty basketball kick into the luxury realm, Axel Arigato presents the angular Area Lo sneaker. This chunky shoe layers textiles with leather which is stacked upon a compartmentalized sole and spoiler back heel for a varied look. For those who like to consider sustainability in their outfits, the Area Lo is an all-round winner featuring recycled polyester on its upper and upcycled marine litter in a number of components.

Chopped Oversized Sweatshirt

Whilst the sweatshirt is often disregarded as a mere layering piece, Axel Arigato makes it the main event with raw-edge seam detailing. Running through the center and across the sleeves, this feature elongates and frames the oversized silhouette as well as giving it a hand-crafted feel. The piece arrives in washed tones of dark green and black, making it contemporary while emphasizing the lived-in look.

Area Patchwork Sneaker

If you’re on the look-out for more statement footwear, the new Area Patchwork sneaker decorates the basketball-inspired silhouette with bold detailing to create an ultra-sporty adaptation. On the model, the original perforated leather panels are swapped with wide mesh while the overlays are reworked in a custom-molded rubber. To finish, exposed stitching appears on the tongue, spoiler feature and toe box strap in contrasting orange thread.
