Banksy holds on to his title as the king of guerilla street art, experiencing continued acclaim for his witty and often legitimate commentaries pertaining to both the current political and economical states. In addition to churning out street-level work, the anonymous British artist has also delved into the areas of film, sculpture, hard copy publication, canvas, and of course his widespread and derisively cheeky public installations. With the art world still reeling from his one-month residency in New York last year, Banksy has continued to astound with his artwork popping up around the globe and leaving in its wake numerous controversies, most notably at Folkestone, England in October when the attempted removal of one of his pieces almost caused a riot among local supporters.
