The popular Qwerty model from the Japanese footwear label Ubiq is back in a new style and in new colorways. This time, Ubiq has given the Qwerty an outdoorsy look with round laces and a rubber sole. This Ubiq Qwerty is available in four colors including Brown, Burgundy, Khaki and Beige. Available now at Mischief.

Combining elements of fashion and toys, Japanese footwear brand Ubiq was offered an opportunity by popular toy makers Secret Base to create their own Ghost figure. The ghost design incorporates the familiar transparent design with blinking LED light. The glow in the dark colors were chosen by Ubiq. One of Ubiq’s most popular model, the eL, will soon be available in a new colorway and style. Inspired by nature and the outdoors, Ubiq has used suede for the upper giving it a rather luxurious feel to the shoe. Four colorways are available including black, burgundy, grey and beige. These sophisticated and mature sneakers will be available starting February 18th at Flauge for 15,750 Yen.

Atmos x Hello Kitty x Ubiq Grace

Since last year, the Japanese boutique, Atmos, and the world famous character, Hello Kitty, teamed up to release a galore of collaboration products including t-shirts and accessories. Their partnership continues this time working with footwear maker Ubiq. Utilizing the Grace model as the silhouette, Atmos has created three different colorways that feature cute Hello Kitty graphics on the shoes. These limited sneakers will be coming out on January 18th, 2008 and retails for 14,700 Yen.

From the mountain sides to the streets, the classic mountaineering boot has become a popular choice of footwear around the world. Many reappropriated versions are much more aesthetically driven than functional with Ubiq offering it’s own traditional approach with their Carphill boot. Ubiq x UNFDTD T-shirts

Two stores, UNDFTD and Ubiq teamed up together to produce a series of collaborative t-shirts. These designs include the photo print Chuck Bednarik shirt and the U-Man design. Chuck Bednarik was often considered one of the hardest hitters ever to hit the gridiron and known as the last two way player in the NFL, spending 10+ years with the Philadelphia Eagles. The U-Man tee features Bednarik’s retired #60 on the back. The t-shirts will be available Thursday, December 20th only at UBIQ and UNDFTD’s online store.

Their new Presern model is some sort of boot meets sneaker styling. The extra high cut is met with a second flap which can be rolled town to reveal a plaid pattern. Here is a look at the new Fatima model where Ubiq has taken Native Indian geometric patterns and reinterpreted it  with a modern twist. Ubiq Bernadette & Braska

Japanese footwear label Ubiq has just launched some new models as part of their 2007 Fall/Winter Collection. The Bernadette and Braska both utilize a traditional hiking boot silhouette. The Braska includes a mid-cut suede upper which is met with a fleece sock with elastic pull cord which ensures a tight fit around the legs. The Bernadette is a low cut boot with an asymmetrical zipper running the length of the boot and a buckle and strap across. Both the Braska and Bernadette possess metal loops for lace holes. Look for these to release at the end of the month. Available at Flauge.
