Taking the concept to the max, Puma will release their take on “Groundhog Day” via the XR Runner. The classic 1990’s runner includes faux fur on the toebox and side panels with brown overlays. The formstripe includes a photo grass print. Look for these to hit select Puma retailers Sportie LA,Base and Puma.com.
Circle March 17th on your calendar as your day to get hammered on green beer and other food colored green foods. With symbols such as 4-leaf clovers and pots of gold paving the way, this Puma Sky High incorporates a bit of both into this less often seen sneaker. Look for the Puma Sky High St. Patrick’s Day to hit your Puma spot next month.

The Puma California has recently emerged from the archives of the popular German sportswear brand. Sneaker boutique Sportie LA joins the ranks of two other Californian inspired sneakers, the California Woody and the Dino Shop California. This California designed by Sportie LA includes a classic black and gold colorway. 150 pairs will release exclusively at the Sportie LA Vault this Friday, February 1st. Also part of the campaign is a Sportie LA Cali billboard slated to hit Melrose St.

Since 1979, San Francisco’s Shoebiz has been a sneaker option for many. Puma recently collaborated with Shoebiz’s second store Shoebiz II, also known as Dino Shop in reference to their dino mascot. The California model, themed after San Francisco’s public transportation Muni also includes references to the store such as a dino tongue tag and ‘79 on the heel (Shoebiz first opened it’s doors on Haight St. in 1979). Look for these to release next month.
It’s a known fact that the most colorful animals in the Amazon rain forests are also the most poisonous. One of these animals include the Poison Dart Frog which is the inspiration behind this Puma “Poison Frog” collection. Puma has captured the essence of this strikingly beautiful species of frogs and applied it to the silhouette of the Clyde. Three styles are available each having a dazzling array of colors and patterns. The shoes will be released on a date that comes once every four years, February 29th, 2008.

Puma’s First Round shoe, is back. Following the tremendous success of last years collaboration with Alife, Puma has decided to bring the shoe back with a collaboration with Japanese brand “American Rag Cie.” The shoe features two transposed colorways; Silver/White or White/Silver. The shoe is available now at American Rag Cie.
The Puma California which was first released in 1982 was one of the cornerstones of the sportswear brand. Now reviving the California sneaker back from the dead, Puma will be releasing three styles which draw inspiration from rich Californian lifestyle. One of the three styles seen here is the “Cali Woody” which is themed after the classic 40’s station wagon known as the “Woody Wagon”. The shoe features the state of California on the tongue tag, there will be palm trees on the heel and a translucent surf board print on the sole. These will be limited in only 200 pairs and will be available only at the Puma retail shop in Santa Monica starting February 1st.

The magazine Sneaker Freaker, founded by Simon Wood aka. Woody has been around for quite a while. This year they have released their 11th issue of the magazine but that’s not all they’re going to release. It looks like there will be a collaboration sneaker in the works with Puma which you might have already seen on the cover of Sneaker Freaker issue #11. Now, thanks to Guillotine, here’s a better picture of the shoe which is dubbed “Blaze of Glory”. There is currently no word on release date yet but hopefully we can see these in stores soon.
Awhile back, we featured a reflective Puma RS100. That particular pair shares a common Emergency Pack theme with two recently released models. Unlike their reflective counterpart, these two pairs are hard to miss in any lighting conditions with fluorescent colors dominating the uppers. Available now at Overkill.
Here is the new Puma Suede Mid II which is an adaptation from the Puma Suede which has its roots in early hip-hop and break dancing. This season, Puma has offered two colorways for the Puma Suede Mid II including a vibrant green with a chocolate brown form stripe and a navy with a straw colored form stripe. These are available now at Puma retailers for $75 USD.
Combining their sports heritage with new contemporary fashion looks, Puma has unveiled their 2008 Spring/Summer collection. Incorporating different elements into their designs, the collection ranges from motor-sports to the urban inspired.
