Despite the timeless nature of the Fedora, Hong Kong’s Know1edge has revisited this once essential form of headwear in their Spade fedora. From afar, the hat’s qualities and highlights are difficult to see. However, upon closer inspection details include leather band detailing and a spade seen on the top of the hat. A tentative release date for the hat has been set for 2008 holiday to coincide with an upcoming Methamphibian collaboration.
Bringing to the table a wealth of experience in numerous fields, Hong Kong’s Know1edge has flourished season to season with a line that has consistently been making its mark. Their minute details rarely go unnoticed and seem to be the basis for many of their designs which ultimately bring everything together to create an extremely pleasing package. Their 2008 summer collection seen here delves deeply into the use of patterns. Brian Siswojo has been among a series of OGs who have brought significant awareness to the skate scene throughout Southeast Asia. His work and influence has undoubtedly gained him a wealth of respect from peers all around resulting in a collaboration with the Japanese division of big time skate publication Thrasher. The collection features button up shirts and t-shirts in various colorways. A release date is set for July 2008 and limited to Japan.
Following a long time spent in the recording studio, Hong Kong’s premier hip-hop group 24Herbs has dropped their debut album on January 24th. To compliment the self-titled CD, a series of caps and t-shirts have been released, with logos designed by artist Eric Haze. Available now at 8five2 and other select retailers.
It’s been approximately one year since the passing of Fiberops’ Tatsushi ‘Tabo’ Kagaya. Throughout his time, he’s had an unheralded impact among many things he’s touched. From his shaping of Hong Kong on a grassroots level to the friendships he’s developed, he has created a legacy not soon forgotten. Some of Tabo’s closet friends such as Know1edge, Fiberops and Subcrew teamed up to produce a special “Everything Happens to Me” trucker cap with proceeds going towards Tabo’s family.
