We have been hearing a lot of Gallery 1950 or their label G1950 lately due to collaborations they have done with Original Fake, Visvim, Cause, Stussy and more. This time around, they have produced several bags including a backpack, a waist bag, a pouch, a Boston bag and a outdoor shoulder bag with Japanese luggage maker Porter. Japanese design label which produces various designer products including furniture, accessories and of course clothes, has worked with another Japanese label, Visvim, to produce three different colorways of the Visvim Logan Lows. Most Visvim items uses neutral colors and strays away from using bright tones however, this is not the case for these Logan Lows. The use of vivid colors as well as the materials canvas and suede make for some unique sneakers. These will retail for 26,040 Yen and will be available soon.

Back before the days of 3D games, you had to look no further then awesome 2D games like Pac-man and Space Invaders. Taito, the Japanese folks behind Space Invaders will welcome the 30th Anniversary of this influential game with a set of Porter bags, nothing says 30th Anniversary like all-over print bags of 8-bit characters. The all-over print is applied over bags, wallets and pouches.

Although claiming it’s roots in Sacramento, music store Tower Records developed a huge chain of stores in Japan which ultimately extended into a free magazine publication and a series of cafes. Design firm G1950 teamed up with Tower Records on a limited edition Porter tote bag. Two styles with different straps are available through Tower Records.

G1950, the design label from Japan, has released some new items from their Fall 2007 Collection which includes a collaboration with Porter on a Textile Wallet. The wallet uses a material that is often seen on furniture pieces. The combination of this fabric on the wallet makes a nice combination. The other item released is the Original Check Slippers which feature a plaid pattern. These lifestyle items are perfect for everyday use. Available now at Figure.

The OriginalFake brand currated by KAWS has recently collaborated with Gallery 1950 (G1950) on a Porter messenger bag. The bag features a Chomper pattern original designed by KAWS on the outside of the flap while the inside of the flap has the logos of OriginalFake, Gallery 1950 and KAWS’ version of Pipo Kun. The bag is current available now at OriginalFake dealers for a price of ¥29,400 JPY (approximately $256USD). Available now at Helden.
