Everybody remembers that cliche term, the pen is mightier then the sword… but what about now? How does the match up of pen vs. keyboard sound as well as the thought the last time you used a pen to convey a message? In what is almost a reminder to the pre-internet era, the recent Futura x Stussy collection has yielded this pen. Futura’s trademark font and atom logo can be seen printed on the pen, with Stussy seen in Futura font. No word on availability.

Details are sparse, but here’s a look at an alleged Recon/Stash x Futura collaboration between two of the graffiti world’s biggest artists on an upcoming pair of sunglasses. This picture doesn’t really help give a clear view of the product but you can find some details within the inner portions of the frame. Stay tuned for more information.
Futura’s signature atom/helix design is emblazoned on an upcoming collaboration with one of snowboards finest brands Burton. The multi-colored graphic also features the Burton name scrawled in Futura’s famous font. No word yet on availability.

The artist Futura has had a long working relationship with the streetwear label Stussy. Now once again, Futura has lend a helping hand to design some new items for Stussy. These items include the Fate hoodie, the Fate Script hoodie, the Futura jacket, the Chance track jacket and the Prospecta jacket. Available now at Stussy Japan.
Last season saw the collaborative efforts of Futura and Maharishi come to fruition in the Futura Heavy Industries Collection. Moving on, together Futura’s efforts with heavyweight Stussy will produce a new co-branded collection of products including apparel and accessories. Look for these to land at select accounts in the coming weeks.

Something often dismissed as an urban legend came true yesterday. For years rumors circulated of an intense mural located somewhere in New York’s Soho district encompassing some of graffiti’s hall of fame participants. The mural includes works by Futura 2000, Fab 5 Freddy and a contribution rumored to be that of graffiti/expressionist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The mural could be considered as the beginning of graffiti. Careful procedures are in place to safe keep the work. The building was slated for demolition to make room for new luxury condo’s. The mural will be available for public display as par the retrospective graffiti art movement exhibit titled “The Wild Style Exhibit” starting Thursday.

Since the inception of the Look Ma, No Brakes project, a large collection of products have dropped from the likes of Colnago bike frames and t-shirts. A further series of items have dropped which include a logo t-shirt and individual Futura & Stash beanies and socks.

With the recent opening of the Futura x Clarks Atomic Wallabee Boots pre-order came a more detailed look into this collaboration between graphic artist Futura and English footwear label Clarks. The toebox is purely suede while the side of the uppers features Futura’s iconic Atmoic Ring design in a laser engraving. Camo laces and a camo designed insole completes the package. At this year’s Art Basel Beach 2007, a special invite-only FAME-Collective exhibition will take place. The showcase of talent will include new unreleased works from some of the world’s most renowned artists such as Dave White, Futura, Stash, Ron English, Jeremy Fish, Sam Flores and Mars-1 among others. This event will take place for a short period of time between December 4th – 8th, in South Beach, Miami at FAME-Collective’s 5,000 sq ft., 4-story gallery. This opportunity will only bestowed via an invite and will also include parties alongside some of South Beach’s hottest night spots.
Earlier this year, a preview of a new project between artist Futura 2000 and British label MHI was seen effectively creating Futura Heavy Industries. The formation of this partnership provides a high quality outlet for Futura to create designs which has gained him so much popularity over the years. As Japanese store Dice&Dice celebrates its 20th Anniversary, famed street artist Futura 2000 was at the event to wow party goers with his signature steez as he put some special touches on variety of items including some blank Clarks Wallabees.
