Cause Mocassin Boot-01

Japanese footwear brand Cause are at it again with another banger of a shoe with their Mocassin Boot-01. Although Cause rarely brings new silhouettes to the table, their re-interpreted styles do offer updated designs on styles which have stood the test of time. These Moc Boots feature full leather uppers and white soles. With what looks like a spacious toebox, these are perfect for those with wide (aka Fred Flinstone) feet. Available now at Flauge.

Whenever you approach staple items such as work boots, a successful product requires a little bit of ingenuity in creating something fresh for a style which has undergone many design alterations from various brands. Japanese brand Cause took a familiar silhouette made famous by Red Wings and added some beneficial features. Shaving the weight and offering a perforated tongue for breathability, together these two go a long ways for a better wearing. Two material choices are available, black leather or sand colored suede. Cause S/S '08 "Lame" Sneaker

Cause has released its “LAME” sneaker on the Flauge outlet of the massive zozo.jp site. The “Lame” model is based on the eternally popular Converse Chuck Taylor. Released in hi and low cuts, we see a variety of patterns on dark colors and even Polka dots and velcro straps that we’ve seen before. On the high-cut model we see some extra detailing we are used to seeing on other variants such as Visvim’s Kiefer with external heel support. The “Lame” model has a slit in the back of the high-cut, reminiscent of Visvim x Masterpiece zipper aperture, later seen on the Wings & Horns sneaker. Overall we see there is many ways to recreate a shoe that has stood the test of time, and brands continue to pay respect to. More detail pics after the jump

This rising footwear brand from Japan has just teamed up with Seattle based label, Maiden Noir, for an upcoming collabo sneaker. Maiden Noir as you know is known for their darker themed clothes so this sneaker has naturally been designed in the same manner. Only a selected few Maiden Noir retailers will be getting these in at the end of the month. They will be retailing for $175. Source: Complex
