After the “Sneaker Lover” Photo tees, the “Sneaker Lover” book and the DVD, Kiks TYO is releasing Tees once again with Aki Hoshino lying semi-naked with your favorite sneakers. The merging of sneakers and girls in bikinis are always popular amongst sneakerheads. The shirts are available on pre-order at the Kiks TYO store.
Following up on their pictorial endeavor, Sneaker Lover, the trio have released a DVD to accompany the project. Featuring almost 60 minutes of video, the DVD follows the crew around as they create content for the book. The DVD is set as region-free allowing worldwide play. Available now at KIKS TYO.
Japanese photographer Yone and model Aki Hoshino have followed up on their photographic print endeavor Sneaker Lover with a gallery showing at Taiwan’s SOL. The exhibit includes large blow ups of pictures seen in the Sneaker Lover book as well as candid Polaroid shots. Other items not pertaining to the Sneaker Lover book include miscellaneous items such as Yone’s previous works, Nike Michael Lau Dunk SBs and Aki Hoshino Kubricks. The show will run until April 13th.

Photographer Yasumasa Yonehara is widely known for his photographs of girls in seductive poses. Recently, Yone has collaborated with Japanese model Aki Hoshino on the “Sneaker Lover” book where Aki poses with some of the most sought after sneakers. Now together with KIKS TYO, they have created a series of six limited edition t-shirts based on photographs from the book. Here are the first two which includes the “One the Bed” tee and the “At the Beach” tee. Aki Hoshino and KIKS TYO have put their interpretative spin on the whole Yo! MTV Raps phenomenon with their own collaborative hoodie. The inner lining is marked with Yo! MTV Raps style trading cards from previous designs such as SBTG, Crooked Tongues, Playstation, Super Star, G-Flash NB, AJ1 and Wings. Available through KIKS TYO.

Japanese actress/model Aki Hoshino and KIKS TYO were trend-setters in their own right as they blazed the trail with their racy sneaker inspired t-shirts. They recently teamed up with photographer Yasumasa Yonehara in the creation of the book Sneaker Lover. Sexy models on t-shirts have always been best sellers. In 2006, the label KIKS TYO from Japan came onto the sneaker scene and started releasing t-shirts designed under the "Sneakers and Girls" theme. Now, continuing with KIKS TYO’s ongoing collaboration with Japanese gravure idol Aki Hoshino are these SBTG & AJ1 inspired t-shirts. Both sneaker customizer SBTG & the Air Jordan 1 shoe have had a great influence in the sneaker culture therefore it was appropriate for KIKS TYO to chose those for these t-shirts. The shirts are now available at the KIKS TYO store retailing at ￥6,825.
Japanese sneaker-crazed label Kiks TYO has just opened up pre-orders on their international site for items previously unavailable outside of Japan. These t-shirts include the AJ Wings Tee and the YO! Kiks Tee. Both designs feature popular Japanese bikini model Aki Hoshino in some sultry poses in reference to some of iconic moments in sneaker culture. The AJ Wings Tee is inspired by Michael Jordan’s famous 1986 Wings poster while the Yo! Kiks Tee refrences trading cards issued in 1991 of MTV Yo! Raps. Both tees will be available for pre-order up until Friday, October 12th. Retail for each shirt will ring in at ¥6,825 (approximately $58 USD).
