For only the second time in its lifetime, the Reebok CL has not looked like a shoe suitable only for seniors rocking out to Wii bowling in their senior citizen home. Japanese brand Doarat created two colorways in buttery leather with some bright midsoles. Ironically the midsoles appear to fit the whole package pretty well. Available at eproze on December 14th.
The Reebok Alien Stomper originally released back in the mid 80s and was seen on the feet of the likes of Ellen Ripley as she ran through a futuristic alien infested scenario throughout the Aliens series. 25 years ago, the release of the women’s Reebok Freestyle would go on to become one of the British brands biggest and most popular footwear offerings ever. From its beginnings as an athletic shoe during the 80s aerobic craze, the Freestyle would eventually hit home with other facets of the everyday including casual wear and the office. To mark the 25th Anniversary of the Freestyle, two special Satin models were created in alternating colorways in either black/white or white/black.

The Reebok Reverse Jam model has been a popular sneaker since its recent re-release. Now, RBK has released a new colorway nicknamed Love Sucks which is themed under the deception of love and relationships. This Love Sucks model features a black upper with red accents as well as a speckled midsole. The shoe also has words like Cheater, Hate, Digust, and Broken written in all across the shoe. Even the insole has a similar pattern so whoever was designing this shoe must have gone through some bad times. These shoes will be released in February.

John Maeda is at the forefront of the innovative field of digital media and motion graphics. His impressive resume boasts experience as an artist, graphic designer, computer scientist as well as a current tenure as a professor at the world famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His partnership with Reebok was a perfect fit due to his embodiment of Reebok’s values in individuality and creativity.
Much of Maeda’s designs are derived from mathematical algorithms and programming codes that showcase his ability to cross reference his background in computer science and use it in creating art. Hand written codes seen on the insole are the same codes which create the designs seen on the upper of the Ventilator. In some ways, you could consider Maeda’s designs as a simplification of technology. Creating a more understandable relationship between the overly complex world of technology and art.
The Reebok Ventilator Timetanium will be available only at the RbkCustom site starting November 13th. Price is set at $150 with only 100 pairs in existence.
The Ventilator represents one of Reebok’s finest creations from their archives. This latest luxury pack includes two monotone colored sneakers of the Ventilator. Available in black and white, these yin & yang colorways share common similarities with the use of faux croc skin on the heel and front bumper as well as a translucent sole. Available now at Mita.
