For certain species of tropical frogs, evolution has bestowed upon them bright colors and patterns to warn predators of their poisonous nature. Puma has captured this concept in a series of Puma Clydes. Three different Clydes all feature distinguished uppers reminiscent of their poisonous counterparts. Set to release in 2008. Available soon at Apartment 16.
Puma has recently released the Puma Stealth Pack which includes two models of sneakers including the Puma Blaze of Glory Stealth and the Puma RS 100. Both come in a monotone colorway but features an urban camo pattern and neon highlights. The Puma Blaze of Glory Steath utilizes a Trinomic sole unit that provides comfort and support while the RS 100 utilizes the R-System that provides ultimate motion control. Both are now available at Overkill Berlin.
The latest releases from Puma is the Repeat Pack which includes the low-top Suede and the hi-top 1st Round. Each sneaker features a solid blue or black suede upper. Within each model is a very subtle and understated all-over print of each models name. Available at Mita on November 20th.
It was revealed earlier this year that Puma was in the works creating their very own skate flavored sneaker, the Scott Bourne Skate Suede. New pictures have just surfaced with a look into the newest retro inspired release from a large company. Using the multi-subculture relevant Suede model as the backdrop, the usual features are visible such as a thicker tongue. Aesthetic features include a Flying Hourglass, a symbol based on Bourne’s own personal "memento mori" motto which translates into "remember you must die". This represents the notion that you need chase time and ensure you spend each moment wisely. Also seen on the tongue is a "Follow No One" label. Three different colorways were designed, Regal Red, Steel Grey and Black, fat laces included. No word yet on availability.

Samples have surfaced regarding an upcoming release from Puma. This series of Puma Baskets were designed with vintage 1970s cartoons in mind with the use of bold colors. Dependant on your taste, both a colorful model as well as a subdued black version are available. The two colorways are essentially flips of one another in which the upper and the inner lining are reversed. Look for these to hit select Puma retailers in the future.

Puma has just released a series of jackets and accessories as part of their 2007 Fall/Winter Lifestyle Collection. Puma have often made a conscious effort to create a strong lifestyle line to compliment their collection of lifestyle products. These vintage styled jackets feature decidedly classic colors and materials. Available now at STLESS.
High fashion designer, Alexander McQueen’s recent partnership with Puma has allowed for this latest dual-branded concept. This hi-top incorporates the ManCat theme into the design with a detailed print seen on the side. The ManCat theme is a large component of this recent collaboration. In February 2007, the Puma Central Saint Martins Bursary Fund was founded to correspond with Puma’s new sponsorship of the Central Saint Martins MA fashion show at London Fashion Week. One of the by-products of this relationship resulted in a re-design competition which allowed students within the menswear MA fashion curriculum to reinterpret some of Puma’s most classic footwear styles. The top 3 creations were made available in special Puma Concept stores worldwide, with €30 Euros (approximately $43 USD) being donated to the bursary fund. Puma has always been at the innovative fore-front of sport-fashion with previous collaborations with the likes of Jil Sander, Neil Barrett, Philippe Starck and Alexander McQueen.
Puma has recently released their latest styles of the Suede. The Puma Suede has had a strong run as of late featuring on the 2nd Collection of the MTV Yo! Raps series. The two pack includes a mustard yellow with blue formstripe colorway as well as a beige with light beige formstripe colorway. The sneakers are currently available at Mita.
Puma has taken their flagship Clyde model to a new level with the upcoming release of this 3 pair pack, titled the Jungle Pack. Each pair includes a dyed pony hair upper with laser etching to create a tiger-like pattern. Other highlights include a saddle leather inner lining and a tongue tag. This pack is set to release at Hanon Shop on Thursday, November 3rd.
Puma has recently released a series of Suede Mids in some simple and casual colorways. Keeping things to a basic level of necessity, these monotone uppers feature buttery suede side panels together with snake skin on the toe box, form stripe and heel. The MU designation refers to a Material Update. Both black and brown colorways are available now at Mita, priced at ¥18,900 (approximately $161 USD).
