Super long week for some reason, marked by various VISA frustrations as HYPEBEAST looks to travel to Beijing at the end of the week for Nike’s re-branding and launch of Nike Sports Wear. However, highlight thus far was the contesting of the newly founded title of HYPEBEAST Office Champion for ping pong on Wednesday night. When blogs go back up, expect countless videos of Eugene kicking ass and taking names through the most powerful smash of all time. This week’s picks include the Air Jordan VI Olympic, SheOne interview, Tsumori Chisato and the photo exhibition George Lois: The Esquire Covers.
Although many complain about the quick and furious pace throughout these pages, this doesn’t necessarily make it that much more difficult to weed through solid products/posts at the end of each week that manage to shine through. This week’s staff picks range from the mega hyped Grand Theft Auto IV which apparently may cause Iron Man to falter at the movie theaters, Visvim and SOPHNET.’s latest collaboration, Season’s necessity for tote bags in summer and Nike’s latest soccer commercial. Check it after the jump.
Friday signals our latest round of HYPEBEAST Weekly Staff Picks. This weeks choices brought to you by Kevin, Eugene, Season and Jason include Medicom Toy’s latest updates of Bearbricks, Jason solidifying the notion his unhealthy love for pants that roll up, the King of Spring Skateboard Showdown Recap and the Visvim Folk Bear Foot FBT Shaman. Check the breakdowns after the jump.
Starting this week, each Friday will culminate in a series of top stories as chosen by the HYPEBEAST staff. Each pick includes additional commentary on exactly why this is their respective picks of the week. Our staff picks this week ranges from a Bearbrick art exhibition, Bape rug, Leftfoot x New Balance collabo and Acronym’s 2008 spring/summer collection. Check the staff picks after the jump.
