Benjamin Clymer is the founder and executive editor of online watch magazine, HODINKEE. Clymer graduated from Syracuse University in 2005 with a B.S. in Information Policy and Economics, before working at UBS as a project manager. He began HODINKEE as a side project and hobby, eventually quitting his finance job to focus on the blog full time. Clymer then obtained a Masters in journalism from Columbia University. His blog has grown significantly since its inception, and has won numerous accolades such as being named by TIME magazine as one of the “50 Top Websites of 2013.”
Clymer not only writes for HODINKEE, but regularly contributes to other publications as well, such as The New York Times, Reuters, GQ and Departures. Clymer was also named by The New York Times as “The High Priest of Horology” in 2013 and regularly acts as a curator for vintage watch sales. 2013 also saw Clymer being named to the jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie De Geneve, the most prestigious awards ceremony of watches.
