Description

Eiichiro Homma is a Japanese designer, founder of nanamica and creative director for The North Face diffusion line THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL. Having studied at Tokyo’s Meiji Gakuin University, Homma began an 18-year stint at outdoors apparel label Goldwin Inc. in 1982 designing marine wear in its outdoor sportswear division. He then utilized his relationships with high-tech fabric mills and brands like The North Face, Helly Hansen and Filson to start his own label nanamica in 2003, which melds sports, utility and style into its designs. Homma is now recognized as one of the leading figures in lifestyle gear in Asia, popularizing functional everyday clothes. He currently resides in Tokyo, Japan.
