Japanese photographer Yone and model Aki Hoshino have followed up on their photographic print endeavor Sneaker Lover with a gallery showing at Taiwan’s SOL. The exhibit includes large blow ups of pictures seen in the Sneaker Lover book as well as candid Polaroid shots. Other items not pertaining to the Sneaker Lover book include miscellaneous items such as Yone’s previous works, Nike Michael Lau Dunk SBs and Aki Hoshino Kubricks. The show will run until April 13th.

Neighborhood has joined forces with design collective 7Stars on t-shirts featuring a reinterpreted Neighborhood cross logo (tees pictured on left and right). Also seen down the middle, Japanese Harley Davidson magazine Hot Bike’s 100th issue was packaged with a special commemorative t-shirt to mark he monumental achievement.

Coupled with some of China’s brightest arts and media specialists, the Nike Dunk Be True exhibition will be hitting Shanghai this Saturday and Sunday. The event will focus on not only some of the most popular Dunk models of all time but also offer the aforementioned Chinese artists a chance to create interpretations of what the Dunk represents to a society that only within the last few years truly experienced the athletic powerhouse that is Nike. The list of exhibitors include 8GG (New Media), Ying Liang (Short Film), OPEN Architecture (Architecture), Gao Wendong (Short Film), Chen Feibo + Li Jianhong + Li Jian (Motion Graphics), Lei Lei (Animation), Xu Wenkai (New Media) and Zhou Hongxiang (Video Installation).

Another commemorative UNDFTD Tokyo 1st anniversary t-shirt seems to be on the horizon to compliment the Number One shirt already previewed. The “Run” shirt features a photo print of sprinters starting off the blocks within the UNDFTD logo with Undefeated Tokyo printed on the back. The tee is slated for a release on Saturday, March 29th.
Here’s a comprehensive look at MHI’s “No Future” collection for 2008 spring/summer. Spanning t-shirts, jackets and caps among other things. A visible difference can be seen applied to the jackets relative to the tees. The jackets are much more minimalistic in their stylings while the t-shirts possess a more visually eye-catching appeal. Special collaboration items for this collection include New York crew IRAK, graffiti artist MODE2 and a jacket with Surrender. A whole range of items can be seen over at Haven.
Leading Danish lifestyle brand Wood Wood has built a successful foundation not only through their strong in-house clothing line but a well-curated selection for their popular stores. While fitting garments seem to have been a dominating theme in certain fashion circles, Wood Wood has created a collection of anti-fit jackets which balance out nicely with their pants, hats and shirts. The memo’s been passed around regarding one of Nike’s most popular current theme of distressing classic models to give them that time aged look. We’ve seen previous applications to the Dunk and the Terminator with the Vandal the latest to experience the wrath of inorganic aging. However from the looks of things the Vandal is a little better off then its predecessors with a more natural look. Slated for a summer 2008 release.

Japanese retailer Freak’s Store has delved extensively with a series of predominately Japanese market brands in various footwear collabos. Their most recent release revisits Admiral with the help of Mita. Freak’s Store’s previous relationship resulted in an Oxford Hi. The use of the Watford results in two models, sleek perforated leather upper and a polka dot patent leather upper. Available for pre-order via Mita.
The (PRODUCT) Red concept has been chugging along in full force recently with many big-time team ups seen with Dr. Romanelli and Lupe Fiasco, each effectively making their mark. The time has come for UNDFTD to step up to the plate. Their No Raw Dogs All Star also includes matching t-shirt & Bearbricks.
