Seminal streetwear brand Too Black Guys has had a resounding impact since their inception in the 90s. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, the brand has maintained a solid footing in the industry with their tongue in cheek approach. Their 2008 Jim Crow Couture collection includes the upcoming NewEra 59FIFTY release. The US-made hats feature a turquoise underbill with a detailed embroidery of their Jim Crow mascot on the front. To celebrate the grand opening of famed eyewear creator Dita and their new online presence Dita Legends, the brand has released a limited run of sunglasses based on their Grandmaster-Two frame. Featuring a hand crafted Zyl Acetate frame, other features include custom hex rviets and oversized titanium hinges. The sunglasses are limited to 10 pieces and available only through DitaLegends.com.
Upon the unveiling of UNDFTD’s Boston Sucks t-shirt in relation with this years NBA Championship finals between the Lakers and the Celtics, we knew it was just a matter of time before Boston had its rebuttal. Enter sneaker store Bodega and Damaged who together have created the “This is Boston, Not LA” t-shirt, inspired by a 1982 hardcore punk compilation of the same name which included some of Boston’s biggest acts at the time.
For Calgary skate shop The Source, the almost 20 year old store has looked to Daniel Curtis to create their Fine Dining series of decks. Shot with all real food which has passed through the gullet of Daniel Curtis, the series is a fun play on the theme of fine dining as it encompasses designs including hot dogs, donuts, fries and burgers. Once a regional exclusive to Japan and the focus of numerous collaborations between Stussy and mad hectic, the fabled trail running MT580 recently saw its first action in the world spotlight with more general releases. A preview of the 2009 collection of clunky midsoled runner features some picture perfect colorways which offer a great compromise with the often colorful offerings most MT580 fans are subjected to with the Stussy x mad hectic collabos. As a follow up to the highly successful King of Spring contest that took place last month, this Saturday, June 14th the 1st annual “Roof Top Rampage” is set to go down at the New Design High School in LES, NYC. Run My Game Productions along with Open Road of New York and Billy Rohan brought together a gang of sponsors including Supreme, Acapulco Gold and Vans to pull off the event. $3000 in cash is up for grabs in a Best Trick contest on a bunch of obstacles all built by Skate Park of Tampa’s very own Frosty Freeze. Acapulco Gold Returns with the first of their summer group. Along with their always classic and fresh line-up of tees, also in stores this week are the AG Camo Hometeam New Era and the OG Camo New Era. Both use tone on tone printing to give it that subtle touch of class AG is known for.
For all the dedicated readers out there, I’m sure you’ve been very updated on the Air Yeezy with all the sneak peeks that we’ve shown. But of course, as with all things Kanye related, it is never enough so we’re showing you another good shot of the famed, ultra exclusive shoes.
