From a successful 2008 Spring/Summer collection, Public School has offered a preview into their upcoming collection. Much of the same underlying tones are replicated in their fall/winter collection such as the prominent use of leather to contribute to their overall renegade stylings. The products include a new approach on the keychain carabiner as well as a leather bound pass holder. The functional products are a nice compliment to his higher end collection of apparel. United Arrow’s sub-brand green label relaxing was created on the basis of simplifying life through its various high quality products. Keeping that in mind, their brand ethos is directly translated into this latest collaboration with New Balance on the 1400. Almost completely covered in white, the upper is highlighted by several touches of gray and patent. Available now at green label relaxing.
In Iron Maiden’s latest global tour dubbed “Somewhere Back in Time”, the group have been traveling in style with a special modified Boeing 757 plane. A special contest was held to choose an appropriate name for the plane who coincidentally is being piloted by Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson, a licensed pilot with Astraeus Airlines. Ed Force One was chosen from over 2,000 entries, representing Iron Maiden’s iconic mascot Eddie.

A respected brand amongst many with a strong New York heritage, SSUR has dropped a new shipment of headwear at the mecca of hats, Hall of Fame. The selection contains mostly knitted stuff ranging from special SSUR x Kangol team ups on some bold designs and pushing the envelope with some neck breaking balaclavas. Contemporary silk screen artist Kate Gibb and Stussy have teamed up on a new custom collection of silk screened tees bearing some iconic hip hop inspired photography. Gibb’s attention to color help further stimulate some stunning prints. Four designs can be seen over the t-shirts. The artist’s personal highlights can be seen within Stussy’s March Feature.
On the heels of yesterdays Kurt Cobain Converse One Star Low comes a further look at the collection of sneakers set to release later this summer. The collection all feature artwork and writings taken from the Nirvana frontman’s 2002 book titled Journals. There is allegedly another All Star model as well, stay tuned for more details.

Voting closed for Battle 1 – the Bake Off results are out! Supreme Dunk narrowly beat out the Tiffany 57% to 43%. Team captain Skam said it best: The Tiffany Dunk was no match for the Air Jordan 3 inspired Dunk. We reign Supreme!
Despite the defeat, Tiffany captain Frasey Avey remains positive: “All good fam – it’s all love for the culture. Just remember, Diamonds are forever.”

Here’s a small preview into New Balance’s 2008 April releases. Two styles here include the M574M NG and the M575J GG. The 574 is marked by a multi-color woven upper while the trail running style 575 and its steel gray upper is further complimented with metallic highlights. Look for both to hit your local New Balance dealers late March/early April.
Japanese semi-erotic photographer Yasumasa Yonehara is at it again with his trademark photography style with clothing label Applebum in a special collaborative t-shirt. The t-shirt features a model scratching herself in a disjointed photograph.
