Charles and Ray Eames, the married couple that has contributed to many fields including industrial design, furniture design, art, graphic design, film and architecture would travel around the world collecting local folk artifacts. Among the objects they acquired was a wooden figure of a black bird from the Appalachian region in the Eastern United States. This figure would often appear in many photographs of Eames’ living room starting from the 1950s. Vitra will be now be reproducing this 11 inch tall figure for people to purchase. Out of all the vinyls and figures out there in this culture, the Bearbricks remain probably the most popular of them all mainly due to the people they work with. If you’re a special few (we’re not) like Michael from the agency La MJC, then you might have already received this little 2008 New Year 50% Bearbrick as a gift courtesy of Medicom Toy. You probably won’t be able to buy this anywhere so it’ll probably be better to give up now just like we did.

These materials feature patterns including an unique purple cracked woven pattern, a houndstooth pattern which has been ever so popular this year, a dogstooth pattern and the classic plaid pattern. A new “UnDrury” colorway Air Max 1 x Air Max 360 Hybrid has dropped at select Nike accounts. The hybrid has been dubbed the UnDrury for it’s resemblance to the Air U Breathe Air Max 1 designed by artist Ben Drury. The 3M mudguard features a black perforated leather toebox and blue highlights on the eyelets and embroideries. Check your local Nike dealer for availability.

The Nike Air Structure was first released in 1990 where it was made for runners to jog in comfort. The shoe consist of technological advances at that time including an external thermoplastic heel counter and a footbridge stability device. There’s also the sole unit which is made of polyurethane and the flexible forefoot air cushioning units. The list goes on but the main point is that Nike has released these shoes once again in the original classic colorways. Two colorways are available including turquoise/grey/black/white and purple/grey/black/white. These are now available at Overkill Berlin.
New for 2008 are a collection of Bape Shark hoodies. Unlike the previous releases, this new collection is comprised entirely of leather. Still perfect for hiding yourself from the world due to your lack of popularity. Four colors include black, navy blue, purple and beige. Don’t expect these things to come cheap. The Vault series from Vans has recently been unveiled. The broad collection for 2008 Spring/Summer finds it’s inspiration from nature, art and Van’s own roots of surf and skate.
