There’s no one quite like designer Bajowoo in the fashion world. The South Korean creative is a disruptor in every sense of the word, especially when it comes to the term “Punk.” Bajowoo’s brand 99%IS- has garnered a strong cult following with its rebellious DIY take on clothing — trousers riddled with elastic ties, garments showcasing oddly-placed zippers, accessories haphazardly patchworked and hand-painted art on distressed fabrics are just some of the label’s calling cards. Fans of the brand include rappers Travis Scott, Skepta, Playboi Carti and more. Even Pharrell Williams has personally approached Bajowoo for a wardrobe update. And while 2020 has been relatively quiet for the designer, 99%IS- did release its 15th collection dubbed, "ATT1&TUDE” this summer. The drop is inspired by Martin Scorsese’s seminal 1976 film Taxi Driver and includes other artful references that reflect Bajowoo’s punk persona. Lastly, the creative was also the featured designer in April for HYPEBEAST Korea’s digital cover story.
