Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli has taken the Italian imprint from strength to strength in 2019, with collaborations alongside UNDERCOVER and Moncler Genius. His efforts have seen the brand enter the realm of high-end streetwear, marking a new era for the forever reinventing Valentino. Piccioli manages to stay in tune with the times while maintaining Valentino’s core image — something that’s only possible under his creative vision. Furthermore, the designer has expanded the label’s creative output with its Pre-Fall 2019 Ginza Six installation featuring reworked Valentino iconography designed by Yuki Murabayashi and Tetsuya Noguchi as well as an accompanying collection featuring collaborations with Doublet and Kuroki Denim. It’s been a stellar year for Valentino, once again showcasing the mastermind that is Pierpaolo Piccioli.
