The foundations established by Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design and Shinsuke Takizawa of Neighborhood has made them pretty damn popular in most parts of Asia with a slow migration into the West. Their two way collaboration resulted in a design seen on this fine gauge Basecontrol beanie. Base Control can be considered as a sort of Japanese version of American Apparel, with simple unbranded pieces. Whatever formula Fujiwara and Takizawa employ, it has allowed them to sell this beanie out at Basestation.

Zippo "Like a Canvas" Lighters

Zippo will be collaborating with several brands including Neighborhood, Stüssy, Sophnet.&F.C.R.B. and honeyee for a series of custom Zippo lighters. As the name suggests, this feature outlines the canvas-like properties of a Zippo and how each design goes beyond the aesthetic values to convey a deeper meaning. OriginalFake and Neighborhood are set to release a special toy later this week. The toy features Neighborhood’s dog mascot Zooth in Halloween drab alongside some trademark OriginalFake features.
