Netflix has officially released the first trailer for its upcoming feature film Unabomber, showcasing Jacob Tremblay’s transformation into a young Ted Kaczynski. The thriller details the origins of the infamous domestic terrorist alongside co-stars Russell Crowe and Shailene Woodley.
Directed by Janus Metz from a script written by Sam Chalsen and Nelson Greaves, the drama tracks Kaczynski’s narrative arc beginning as a 16-year-old Harvard prodigy. The storyline delves into controversial psychological experiments conducted on him by Professor Henry Murray, played by Crowe, which set off a series of events leading to a 17-year wave of attacks that killed three people and injured 23 others. FBI agent Joanne Miller, portrayed by Woodley, leads the high-stakes investigation behind the longest manhunt in U.S. history.
The ensemble cast is completed by Annabelle Wallis, Alexander Ludwig, Steven Ogg, and Marc Menchaca. Executive produced by Greaves, Donald J. Lee, and Chalsen alongside MRC, the film is produced by Sophie Cassidy for 2.0 Entertainment.
