- A. Lange & Söhne debuts the Lange 1 Daymatic in HONEYGOLD®
- Limited to 250 pieces and powered by the L021.1 caliber, the watch features a mirrored dial layout, retrograde day‑of‑week display and brown silver dial
A. Lange & Söhne‘s Lange 1 Daymatic HONEYGOLD® marks a significant milestone for the German watchmaker, introducing this specific model in its proprietary 750 honey gold alloy material. The watch pairs the warm luster of honey gold with a brown silver dial, creating a refined and distinctive aesthetic. The hour and minute display sits on the right, while the subsidiary seconds and outsize date occupy the left.
Instead of the classic power reserve indicator, the Daymatic features a retrograde day-of-week display, adding both functionality and individuality to the design. Measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 10.4mm in height, the case maintains harmonious proportions, complemented by reworked lugs and bezel for a lighter profile. The taupe hand-stitched alligator strap with honey gold buckle completes the elegant presentation.
Inside, the watch houses the self-winding Calibre L021.1, a movement crafted with the Maison’s hallmark precision and artisanal finish. A large central rotor in 21-carat gold with a platinum mass ensures efficient winding and delivers a 50-hour power reserve. Traditional elements such as the hand-engraved balance cock, Glashütte ribbing and screwed gold chatons highlight the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback.
Limited to 250 pieces, the Lange 1 Daymatic HONEYGOLD® was released on December 7, a date that commemorates both Ferdinand Adolph Lange’s founding of Glashütte watchmaking in 1845 and Walter Lange’s revival of the brand in 1990.
