Song for the Mute is reuniting with adidas to release their fifth collaboration. Aptly named “Song for the Mute x adidas 005 Collection,” the latest range spotlights two sneaker silhouettes, each offered in three distinct colorways alongside a compact apparel lineup.

Drawing inspiration from pastoral life and the language of the land, the new collection pays homage to elemental themes through its carefully curated palette and choice of materials. Coming in “Black,” “Clay” and “Olive,” the Adistar Cushion boasts a low-top and technical build composed. Its upper, a sheer, open mesh base, is reinforced with suede and pony hair. The trademark Three Stripes appears in brushed suede on the inner-facing side but is rendered in a satin finish on the lateral side. Meanwhile, a dusted, timeworn outsole completes the shoe.

The iconic Superstar 82 has been rebuilt with a soft, tactile approach, featuring vegetable-tanned suede, buttery full-grain leather and rich tonal hides in earthy browns, milky off-whites and black. Fitted with a custom-molded shell toe and complemented with antiqued metal eyelets, the sneaker evokes an artifact-like appeal and is offered in “Toast,” “Milk” and “Animal” colorways.

The nomadic inspiration continues onto the apparel lineup, where athleisure staples such as sweat pants, track jackets, tees and sweaters are reimagined in earth tones, shepherd-like knits and acid washes.

The SFTM x adidas 005 collection will release via Song for the Mute on March 7. A wider global release will also be available starting from March 13.
