WILLOW Debuts New Song in 'Tiny Desk Concert'
Dubbed “Run!”, the new track is lifted from WILLOW’s forthcoming ‘empathogen’ album.
WILLOW stopped by NPR Music‘s storied Tiny Desk for the first time to deliver a dynamic Tiny Desk Concert performance.
Complete with a new cut and a stacked band – whose chemistry is palpable through the screen – the 23-year-old musician performed a lineup of some of her recent new music lifted from her imminent empathogen album.

“I’ve never done this before,” she laughs at the beginning. “It’s really beautiful that you guys are here and that we can just play music and be together.”
She opens with last month’s new single “symptom of life” before delving into a bit of a “changed up” version of “Split” from her last LP <COPING MECHANISMS>. After track three, a bouncy rendition of “Wait a Minute!”, WILLOW puts down her guitar to pivots to her new song, “Run!” before closing out with “Big Feelings.”
WILLOW gives “Run!” no introduction and just gets right into the song, led by a distinct baseline and percussive melody.
“I can’t get out / No, no, I can’t out / No, I can’t out,” she repeats on the track. “This pattern is maddening / Making a tragedy happen / It’s not even real / Oh, I can’t get out.”
