Panerai Launches the Submersible Luna Rossa PAM01579 During Milan Design Week

After unveiling five new Submersible models at Watches & Wonders, Panerai now readies another special variant during Milan Design Week. This new Submersible Luna Rossa, reference PAM01579 is the latest model to celebrate the Maison’s continued support for the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team, as they gear up for America’s Cup 2024.

Inspired by the sporting event’s domitable spirit as well as technical innovation, the new timepiece also comes in a palette that pays homage to the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team colors. Encased in a brushed-finish, 42mm steel case, the watch is fitted with the model’s signature crown-protecting device. Its matte white dial is accented with luminous dots that function as hour markings, complete with a 3 o’clock date, a 9 o’clock small seconds subcounter and sword-shaped hands. Contrasting the crisp white dial is the unidirectional rotating steel bezel highlighted with a matte black ceramic disc.

Powered by the automatic P.900 movement, the timepiece runs on a three-day power reserve, all the while being resistant to up to 300 meters underwater. Its steel caseback features the brand and the model’s name, while an engraving of the new Luna Rossa boat graces the center. Completing the watch is a bi-material rubber and textile strap in black, finished with a Luna Rossa Red stripe.

The Submersible Luna Rossa PAM01579 will be available as an exclusive for Panerai’s boutiques in Italy in the first month of its release. Starting in June, it will be widely available online and in stores at Panerai.
