New 'Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War' Trailer Showcases Campaign Gameplay
PlayStation 4 players will get an exclusive alpha demo for multiplayer mode this weekend.
During Sony‘s PlayStation 5 showcase, Treyarch showcased a campaign trailer for its upcoming game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The footage above showcases a portion of “Nowhere Left to Run,” the first campaign mission in the game. The action primarily focuses on using the cover of darkness and “plausible deniability to fight a battle that “never happened.”
“It’s rumored that Perseus is in play again, and planning an attack that threatens the balance of power,” the official video description says. “A Black Ops team comprised of Frank Woods, Alex Mason, and Russell Adler infiltrates an airfield in Turkey to eliminate a high-value target.” According to PlayStation Blog, this is only a portion of the mission.
It was also announced PlayStation 4 players will get an exclusive alpha test demo for Black Ops Cold War‘s multiplayer this weekend “complete with multiple modes, maps, and a preview of the Create-a-Class and Scorestreak systems.” The multiplayer mode can be downloaded on September 17 at 8 am PDT, with the alpha beginning on September 18 at 10 am PDT before ending on September 20 at 10 am PST.
