Watch the Next Evolution of Special Ops Mode in New 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' Trailer
The beloved mode has been reimagined.
Infinity Ward has released a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trailer showcasing the return of the franchise’s updated Special Ops mode. The trailer above showcases the reimaged mode as a collection of interconnected “Operations” as you and strike-teams of four play through multi-phased objectives, which together will advance the overarching story of Modern Warfare.
The mode will take place on a wide variety of large, multi-staged maps with most of the Killstreak from Multiplayer being accessible in Special Ops. In addition, a number of vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, and ATVs will be available as well. The mode allows teams to enter the fray stealthily or guns blazing, with enemies reacting based on your choices.
Additional objectives called “Missions” will be available for players across platforms that can be played alone or with four players. Missions will offer curated experiences where proficiency with specific weapons, killstreaks, and other tools will be tested. These Missions are extremely replayable and are cleared based on a 1, 2, or 3-star ranking that’s based on your performance.
Check out the trailer above and play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare when it arrives October 25 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
