Italian mega-house Gucci showcased its Resort 2019 collection at a fire-lit burial ground at Les Alyscamps in Arles, France. In true Alessandro Michele fashion, the expansive range was an eye-grabbing display of rococo luxury and gaudy opulence.

Ensembles trickled down the runway in an explosion of colors, prints and shapes with expressive layering techniques and eccentric accessory applications thrown in for good measure. On the menswear side of things, form-fitting trousers paired up with elaborately-decorated tops — some in multi-toned floral patterns, while others embraced check prints, geometric shapes and animal motifs. Ladies, on the other hand, paraded around in unstructured dress silhouettes and elongated outerwear, most of which also welcomed lavish decor. Scroll through the gallery above for a closer look.
