Street-focused clothing label Bricks & Wood has united with K-Swiss for a new collaboration that celebrates the creativity of Black designers. The new collaboration captures the importance of culture and community by looking at the evolution of design to champion emerging talent.

Fusing nostalgic style and new wave designs, the collection features sweatsuits in dusty chalk and stone blue colorways. Appearing on the chest of the hoodie and down the leg on matching sweatpants is a stylized “For Daily Use Design Program” in embossed lettering. Additionally, the new collection pays homage to Dazo Anderson who is the uncle of Bricks & Wood’s CEO/Founder Kacey Lynch and the first Black shoe designer at K-Swiss. To celebrate Anderson, the collection features a signature K-Swiss sneaker that is done up in cream with a translucent blue sole. Finishing off the sneaker is Bricks & Wood detailing that appears on the tongue and sole.

With the two Los Angeles-based brands linking up, their collaborative effort reinforces the reality that Black designers have always been a part of the fashion and footwear industry.

Check out the gallery above for a look at the community-minded collaboration. The collaboration is set to release Tuesday, May 24 on Bricks & Wood’s website and K-Swiss’ website.
