Mac DeMarco and Melanie Faye Deliver Hypnotic New Track "Eternally 12"
Their first lyrical collaboration.
Following Mac DeMarco’s recent announcement of another album in the works, debuting under the aptly named Mac’s Record Label, the crooning singer-songwriter has teamed up with 21-year-old Nashville native Melanie Faye on the DeMarco-produced track “Eternally 12.”
DeMarco’s contribution can be heard throughout, the use of repetitive and distorted guitar riffs is textbook Mac, along with the punchy drums which allow for Faye’s vocals to bite hard despite her smooth, soulful delivery.
Mixing the typically indie sound we expect from DeMarco with Faye’s chilled RnB sound and an equally silky harmony, the song is the perfect contemporary slow jam and gives Faye a good platform before her debut EP Homophone releases.
Listen to “Eternally 12” (on repeat) on both Spotify and Apple Music now.
