Yes, that swimming pool is in the apartment.
The architecture firm Fernanda Marques Arquitetos Associados were approached by a client in São Paulo with a specific request — they wanted their swimming pool to be inside their apartment. To make this happen the firm made full use of the double-height living room, placing a two-sided sofa in the middle of the living room, with one set of chairs pointing towards the TV and the other towards the pool.
In addition to the inside pool, the home owner also has a plethora of art pieces, which they wanted placed prominently throughout the home. The focus on art meant that the rest of the home had to lean towards minimalism so as not to overshadow the pieces. You can take a look through the gallery to see just how this was achieved.
