Executively produced by Steve Buscemi.
Comedian Louis C.K. has announced that he will be hosting the documentary Check It on his website. Directed by Dana Flor and Toby Oppenheimer, as well as executively produced by Steve Buscemi, the documentary follows a group of LGBTQ teenagers in Washington, D.C. named Check It. The film highlights the troubles that the group members face, including defending themselves from violence and harassment.
“The film knocked me out. It’s so good,” says C.K. in the trailer. “It’s about kids protecting themselves in this dangerous world. They’re funny, they’re interesting and their stories are very moving and engaging.”
Previously shown at the Tribeca Film Festival, the San Francisco International Film Festival, and the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, Check It is now available through Louis C.K.’s website for $5 USD.
