HBO Is in Talks to Develop a 'Watchmen' TV Series
Creator Alan Moore’s celebrated graphic novel may get another adaptation.
HBO is in talks once again to get a Watchmen series off the ground. The network is reportedly in talks with Damon Lindelof, co-creator of Lost and The Leftovers to adapt the 12-issue limited series turned graphic novel into a show. In 2014, HBO tried to strike a deal with Zack Snyder to get the project started, but it eventually fell apart.
Snyder had his hand in adapting the source material with his 2009 film, which received mixed reviews. It’s speculated that the show won’t have Snyder involved and will be starting from scratch. It’s also unknown whether the show will follow the story from the book, adapted under the director’s vision of the story, or if it will tread the Before Watchmen series DC Comics published in 2012 that takes place before the original graphic novel.
Stay tuned for more developments on the show as they come. For now, sound off in the comments section with your thoughts on a Watchmen television series.
