'Megan Leavey' Trailer: Kate Mara and Her Dog Rex Become Inseparable in Times of War

The trailer for the movie Megan Leavey starring Kate Mara has just been released. The film is based on the life of former U.S. Marine corporal/Iraq war vet Megan Leavey — she and her military dog Rex had completed more than 100 missions together until they both suffered injuries due to an IED explosion.
The story should shed light on Leavey and Rex’s powerful bond, from their beginnings, missions, and ultimately the life-changing moment they both suffered on the battlefield. In real life, Rex continued to serve, while Leavey was discharged after receiving the Purple Heart. Rex eventually developed a disease that meant he would be put down, but Leavey fought hard to adopt the brave K9.
