Boston Dynamics, the engineering and robotics company behind such entertaining and unforgettable videos as this, has been encroaching on new territory – robots that can perform parkour. Considering how difficult it has been to master the technology behind upright standing robots, the capabilities of the new project, Atlas, are quite impressive. In the video above, we see it leap through a course of blocks of varying heights with ease, while also making 360 turns in mid-air. It even has a bit of attitude, as it’s seen raising its arms proudly after landing a back flip. In other news about robots, Sony made a pet dog that is able to form an emotional bond.
