adidas Originals released a new short film that looks to reaffirm the notion that original is never finished, through a provocative look at today’s streetwear culture. Featuring a remix of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” the ‘Original Is Never Finished’ spot explores the idea that if you push something far enough, it becomes original again. With a multi-generational cast that includes Snoop Dogg, Dev Hynes, Stormzy, Mabel, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Brandon Ingram, Petra Collins, Mark Gonzales and Lucas Puig, adidas Originals has re-interpreted its own classics and now turns to a new generation of creators, hoping to inspire them to redefine the meaning of originality. ‘Original Is Never Finished’ brings to life, through visual representation, the idea that recreating, in your own way, will always lead to something truly original.
