SAAM1 Aims to Amplify Chinese Culture With New Capsule Collection
Borrowing from Chinese zodiacs.

Brand new to the menswear scene is SAAM1 with the recent release of its capsule collection. Founded by former Shanghai Tang designer Joseph Li, SAAM1 (which means “clothes” in Cantonese) aims to amplify Chinese culture through blending Chinese motifs with Western design. The brand’s first delivery includes a small assemblage of embroidered souvenir jackets and henley shirts bearing symbols borrowed from ancient Chinese zodiacs. As SAAM1 looks to implement China’s cultural heritage to Hong Kong’s progressive fashion scene, the tone is set as each and every garment is constructed within the confines of a 65-year-old knitting factory. The SAAM1 Capsule Collection is available now at Lane Crawford.
