Dallas Police Sniper Suspect Killed During Standoff
The shooter has also been identified as a 25-year old man from Dallas.
Communities across the world are still trying to process the series of events that have taken place over the past 48 hours. Last night, a devastating attack left five Dallas police officers dead — while five others are still hospitalized after being shot. Moments ago, a major update was provided, announcing the suspected shooter was killed by a police robot carrying an explosive device which was detonated in a parking garage where the suspect was located. A senior law enforcement official told NBC News the suspect is believed to be 25-year-old Micah Xavier Johnson, a resident of the Dallas area. President Obama has addressed the unfortunate turn of events and says “all Americans should be deeply troubled by the fatal shootings.”
