Here's Your Chance to Own Tupac Shakur's 1996 Hummer
One of the last cars he bought.
It’s been almost two decades since the passing of Tupac Shakur, yet his legacy lives on in more ways than one. RR Auctions is selling a 1996 AM General Hummer in a four-door pickup configuration that used to be in Tupac’s possession and is one of the last cars he bought. Since 1996, the car has racked up only 10,101 miles but it has received a bunch of upgrades, such as driving lights, a sound system and external PA, and diamond-plate bumpers. The Hummer itself has a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 and automatic transmission.
After being owned by Shakur, the car was put in the hands of his mother. Afterwards, it went through a variety of owners including the BET (which auctioned it off in a raffle in 2003), the owners of Havenotz Entertainment, and the mother of the rapper Yaki “Prince” Kadafi. Kadafi was considered a “godbrother” to Tupac, and the license plate “YAKNPAK” reflects that. If you’re interested, bidding opens May 12 through to May 19. RR Auctions estimates it’ll sell for more than $100,000 USD. Learn more here.
