Parra "I Can't Look At Your Face Anymore" @ Ruttkowski;68 Gallery
A medley of artwork including sculptures, paintings and more.

Dutch artist and illustrator Parra opened his latest solo exhibition at contemporary art gallery Ruttkowski;68 in Cologne, Germany. Titled I Can’t Look at Your Face Anymore, the theme focuses on images that obscure the face, which is Parra’s response to the self-absorbed age of selfies and edited photos that tend to mask our true selves. His signature curvy silhouettes and bright graphics help to convey his ideas through an abstract and playful representation. On display are mixed-media artworks which include sculptures and canvas-based pieces, most notably a large fiberglass sculpture hanging from the ceiling dubbed Falling Fiancée. This is the artist’s second showing at the gallery, following his And Wait for Something to Happen exhibition back in 2013. Scroll through the works above and check out the exhibition which is on view until May 29.
