This Workspace Was Built Around a Single Undulating Desk
Built to mirror the cycle of eat, work, play and sleep.

Singaporean creative agency Little Red Ants might have one of the most innovative offices we’ve seen recently. Enlisting the talent of interior design studio PRODUCE, their new workspace was built to emphasize the cycle of work, eat, sleep and play, hence the undulating, figure-of-eight desk that forms all of the working surfaces of the office.
Designed to mirror the flow of work from writers to editors, the desk promotes a sense of continuity and union amongst the workers, as well as encouraging collaboration due to the importance of sharing ideas in the nature of their creative work. The seamless desk transforms from table height to roof covering the editing room, bathroom, meeting room and pantry, before swooping back down to form more workstations.
Also serving the double duty of carrying and concealing all the office’s cables within its structure, the desk had to be custom-milled at PRODUCE’s CNC machine, and is made from maple veneered plywood sheets. To see more innovative office designs, click here.
