Ahead of Fred Perry‘s flagship Tokyo shop opening in the Jingumae area on March 19, 2016, the British brand has unveiled a series of limited-edition tops paying homage to iconic musicians and designers that have made an influence on its style over the years. The new location will reportedly be the largest Fred Perry store with sales floors covering over 100 square meters. Dubbed “Tokyo Specials,” the collection includes a range of polos, as well as a V-neck sweater and Harrington jacket named after Paul Weller, Terry Hall, Amy Winehouse, Damon Albarn, Don Letts and Art Comes First, reworked from Fred Perry’s signature retro aesthetic. There will be a small release of 100 for the black and white ‘Art Comes First’ polos, while all of the other items will be even more limited at just 10 pieces. As an added bonus, part of the proceeds from the collection will go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation, empowering children in need through music, and aiming to prevent drug and alcohol abuse. Check back for more updates on the flagship store as the opening date approaches.
