Recently, singer-songwriter Miguel has stirred up a bit of controversy with his statement about being ”better” than Frank Ocean. While his clarifying statement afterwards did not really tone down the buzz surrounding this, German-born photographer Daniel Sannwald directed the attention back to Miguel’s recently released album WILDHEART, which he had shot for. Daniel shares to Instagram:
“[Miguel]’s such a sweet and open-minded person, so it’s really easy to connect with him. They kind of divided the record into different drug experiences, like an LSD trip to an ecstasy trip to a cocaine trip, so I think they reached out to different people to start the vision of what would suit that kind of visual experience. I was LSD. I love anything psychedelic, I love colors, I love to create unexpected worlds.”
Sannwald had decided on the theme of bare skin after listening to Miguel’s work, and as a result, the singer avoided food for the entire day and, with his trainer, worked out in between shots. Read the full story here.
